Automated Fan Control Installed on PVE4

We’ve identified that the recent unexpected reboots on Node PVE4 were caused by thermal instability — temperatures occasionally rose beyond safe operating limits during high workloads.

To prevent this from recurring, we’ve installed a new automated thermal management system on PVE4. This service continuously monitors onboard temperature sensors and dynamically adjusts the fan speeds to maintain stable cooling across all components.

What this means:

• The system now automatically regulates airflow based on real-time temperature readings.
• It keeps the node within a healthy thermal range, reducing the risk of overheating-related shutdowns or reboots.
• Operation is fully autonomous — no user intervention is required.

This change should eliminate the heat-related reboot events observed previously and improve the overall reliability and longevity of PVE4 moving forward.
